A Little About Me
Orangeville Pet and Equine Photographer
Life for me has always involved animals and I couldn't imagine anything different.
My family adopted our first dog from a local shelter when I was four years old - an energetic mixed breed with a zest for life - which started my lifelong involvement with animals.
This continued with horseback riding as a child and young adult, working years at major pet store chains with reptiles and pocket pets, successfully breeding and showing Flemish Giant rabbits and cavies, completing my certificate in Animal Care, as well as training/grooming/handling Golden Retrievers in conformation shows throughout Southern Ontario... all while growing up with dogs as small as Chihuahuas to as large as Mastiffs.
The art of Photography has been an interest of mine which began in teenagehood, when my father taught me my first lessons on his Konica film SLR. I continued my learning through various schooling and other pros I had the fortune of knowing, including my own uncle who ran a successful pet photography business. My journey in photography professionally began with the birth of my daughter in 2015, when I learned the immense value of documenting those we love.
After photographing newborns and families for years, I am working mainly with my passion of pet portraiture. I still do offer on a limited basis both Newborn and Family sessions.
I am happy and fortunate to merge my understanding and love of animals with the skill of photographic art.
